DIRECTOR'S MEETING

Meeting of the Directors of the Lynchburg Glass Corporation was held in the Directors Room of the Peoples National Bank, Friday, May 2nd, [1924] at 11 A. M. with the following present:

John Victor
J. D. Owen
D. H. Dillard
C. M. Guggenheimer
W. H. Loyd

Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.

President Eller explained the progress made with the sample Insulators on his recent trip to New York, telling the Board that Lynchburg Insulators had been approved according to specifications of the Western Electric Company and that they had listed the Lynchburg Glass Corporation as a source of supply for their future glass needs.

The President also discussed the arrangements he had made with several New York agencies f or the export of Insulators to foreign countries. He discussed conditions in the Insulator business and the Soft Drink Bottle business and the present situation of the plant in all particulars.

It was thought advisable by the Board to instruct the management to start up the plant and make some of the numbers of Insulators on which the stoct [sic] was short and then if business should not improve to block the furnace.

On motion of C. M. Guggenheimer, duly seconded by John Victor and unanimously passed, the officers were instructed to run the plant for the week beginning May 5, 1924 and make up Insulators needed to complete the finished stock on hand.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
